Czym jest elektrosmog ?

Każdy z nas chciałby oddychać świeżym powietrzem bez obaw, że po kilku głębszych wdechach zostanie napoczęta reakcja łańcucha tworząca choroby układu oddechowego. 

Wiele się słyszy o zanieczyszczeniach powietrza, o smogu oraz zagrożeniach płynących z nieprzestrzegania polityki unijnej w sprawie walki ze smogiem. Jednak czy wiemy czym tak naprawdę jest smog i dlaczego powstaje? Słowo „smog” pochodzi od słów z języka angielskiego smoke (dym) oraz fog (dym). Jest zjawiskiem atmosferycznym, który powstaje na skutek zmieszania się mgły z dymem oraz spalinami. Smog występuje głównie w okresie zimowym, a głównym winowajcą są gospodarstwa domowe, które produkują 52% smogu, kolejno 17 % farbyki oraz 10 % samochody. W składzie smogu znajdziemy takie związki chemiczne jak: tlenek siarki, tlenek azotu, substancje stałe (pyły zawieszone), kancerogenne wielopierścieniowe węglowodory aromatyczne.

Pragnę zatrzymać się na słowie „kancerogenne” co oznacza rakotwórczy. Bowiem smog przyczynia się do mutacji materiału genetycznego i powstawania nowotworów. Podejrzewam, że większość z czytelników spojrzała w tym momencie za okno w poszukiwaniach zagrożenia albo wstrzymała oddech. Jednak to nie wszystko ta ulotna trucizna może powodować także alergie, astmy, przewlekłe zapalenia oskrzeli, niewydolność oddechową, paraliż układu krwionośnego. Smog powoduje także zmniejszenie masy urodzeniowej u noworodków.

Elektrosmog to określenie promieniowania elektromagnetycznego o różnej częstotliwości. Promieniowanie bierze się z takich urządzeń jak radio, telewizor, telefon komórkowy, internet bezprzewodowy wi-fi. Promieniowanie elektromagnetyczne jest czynnikiem stresogennym i może zaburzać funkcjonowanie całego organizmu. Pomimo tego, że jest to poważny problem często zostaje pomijany, a przez niektórych nazywany teoriami spiskowymi.

 Rośliny jonizują powietrze ujemnie co wpływa korzystnie na człowieka. Jedną z tych roślin jest skrzydłokwiat który nie tylko pochłania benzen i aceton z pomieszczenia ale również elektrosmog emitowany przez urządzenia elektryczne.

Wpływ światła na rozwój roślin

Tak jak pamiętamy już z pierwszych lekcji przyrody w szkole podstawowej, światło pełni bardzo istotną rolę by rośliny mogła zdrowo rosnąć i w pełni wykorzystywały swój potencjał. Większość roślin bierze udział w procesie fotosyntezy.

 

Jednak występują takie, które odżywiają się w inny sposób.
Są to: rośliny pasożytnicze, cudzożywne, saprofityczne czyli takie, które żerują na grzybach. Proces fotosyntezy jest najważniejszą przemianą biochemiczna na Ziemi.

 

Dlaczego jest to tak ważne? 

Może dla przybliżenia tematu, pokrótce opiszę czym jest proces fotosyntezy.

Jest to proces, w którym roślina pobiera substancje nieorganiczne takie jak dwutlenek węgla i wodę zamieniając je na substancje organiczną –glukozę przy asyście światła. Efektem ubocznym jest tlen, który jest zbawienny dla funkcjonowania całej planety. Brzmi banalnie prawda? Warto wspomnieć tutaj o chlorofilu, zielonym barwniku barwiącym rośliny, który pochłania światło, rozpoczynając reakcje chemiczne. Chlorofil znajduje się w chloroplastach, których największe natężenie znajduje się w liściach są to organy przeznaczone do skupiania światła. Należy pamiętać jednak, że cała część zielona rośliny jest w stanie zbierać energię pochodzącą ze światła, ale to w liściach jest aż 95% związków pokarmowych.

Wiele osób zapomina o właściwym oświetleniu, lekceważąc objawy występujące na roślinach. Efektem słabego oświetlenia jest wykończenie substancji zapasowych rośliny i najczęściej możemy zaobserwować to, że kwiaty albo przestają rosnąć albo odległości między liśćmi są coraz większe. Na liściach możemy zobaczyć zanik zielonego barwnika przez co organy te stają się coraz bardziej przeźroczyste. Można także za mocno oświetlać roślinę. W wyniku takich działań chlorofil rozpada się powodując podobne objawy jak u niedoboru światła u rośliny jednak z czasem zaczynają pojawiać się ciemne plamy, które zasychają i kruszą się . W wyniku tego całe liście schną i odpadają. Istotną wskazówką może się okazać informacja czy roślina jest światłolubna czy ciemnolubna.

Po czym rozpoznać?

Rośliny światłolubne można odróżnić po odcieniu zieleni lub fakturze liści. O gatunkach roślin, które mają jaśniejszy odcień zieleni liści można bez problemu powiedzieć, że są to rośliny wymagające większej ilości światła. Często te rośliny mają na liściach włoski, zaś same liście są zredukowane lub zamienione są na kolce. Rośliny ciemnolubne z kolei mają liście skórzaste o ograniczonym wzroście, a ich odcień zieleni jest ciemny. 

Zatem jak zadbać o właściwe oświetlenie roślin? 

Rośliny wymagające dobrego oświetlenia powinny znajdować się na tarasie, balkonie, a jeżeli mamy zimę to jak najbliżej okna. Zaś jeżeli nie możemy roślinom zapewnić dobrego oświetlenia i mamy w domu światło rozproszone warto zainteresować się roślinami ciemnolubnymi takimi jak difenbachie, skrzydło kwiaty, aspidistra, a także niektóre paprocie.

Jak można wspomóc jeszcze nasze rośliny jeżeli nie mają wystarczającego światła?

Można oświetlać rośliny sztucznym światłem około 3 godzin. Przeznaczone do tego są lampy led,  sodowe, fluorescencyjne, rtęciowe ważne jest to aby dawały białe światło. Nie wolno używać lamp żarowych ponieważ mogą spalić roślinę.

Trafne hasło, które usłyszałem po raz pierwszy w przedszkolu jako małe dziecko. Nie rozumiałem wtedy tego problemu. Myślałem sobie w głowie ”to wody może zabraknąć?”  

Jest stałym elementem  życia, a nawet można odważnie powiedzieć, że jest życiem. Rośliny tak i jak inne organizmy żywe potrzebują dużej ilości H2O ponieważ woda jest głównym składnikiem chemicznych komórek. Przyglądając się bliżej, procentowo podając ilość wody w roślinach sprawa wygląda następująco:

-w tkankach aktywnych metabolicznie wynosi aż od 70% do 90%

– zawartość w protoplazmie to około 85%-90%

Protoplazma jest to część komórki, która oddzielona jest od środowiska błoną komórkową. Znajduje się w niej jądro komórkowe i cytoplazmę.

– w organellach takich jak chloroplasty czy mitochondria około 50%

Jak widać woda jest niezbędna do funkcjonowania roślin, ale powstają zatem pytania:  w jaki sposób jest pobierana? co się z nią dzieje? do czego konkretnie potrzebna jest roślinie?

Rośliny pobierają wodę dzięki żywym komórkom włośników korzeniowych, które są wytworem ryzodermy.  Powierzchnia chłonna stworzona przez włośniki jest kilkaset razy większa niż powierzchnia korzeni! Większa część roślin sięga maksymalnie w głąb gleby od 40 do 50 cm. Głębiej sięgają korzenie roślin drzewiastych.

Co dalej dzieje się z wodą?

Po pobraniu przez włośniki korzenne wody, wędruje ona do kory pierwotnej, endodermy i perycykl do ksylemu działa to na zasadzie osmozy. Następnie do organów nadziemnych dostaje się poprzez transport elementami drewna. Roślina może pobierać wodę także częścią nadziemną, dzięki hydatodom lub tzw. szparkom wodnym (miejsca w epidermie liścia). Jednak w małej mierze zaspokaja to zapotrzebowanie rośliny na wodę.

Koniecznie należy wspomnieć o procesie transpiracji. Jest to czynne parowanie wody z nadziemnych części roślin przez aparay szparkowe, skórkę oraz przetchlinki. Powstaje pytanie: to najpierw roślina pobiera  wodę żeby potem stracić? Nie do końca. Proces transpiracji jest niezbędny w przewodzeniu wody przez tkanki roślinne, obniża dzięki temu temperaturę rośliny co chroni ją przed przegrzaniem bądź tzw. sparzeniem. Dla przykładu roślina poprzez aparaty szparkowe traci aż 90% wody, a w sumie to 99% wody pobranej po przez włośniki korzenne . Czyli jeżeli roślina pobierze 100 litrów wody w procesie transpiracji traci 99 litrów! Czynnikami wpływającymi na ilość parowanej wody są: gatunek rośliny, temperatura, szybkość wiatru , wilgotność powietrza.

Jak widać woda jest życiem.

Woda roślinom potrzebna jest do:

-produkcji pokarmu

– wraz z wodą rośliny czerpią z gleby sole mineralne

– dzięki wodzie w roślinie transportowane są substancje pokarmowe

– schładza roślinę poprzez parowanie wody chroniąc ją przed przegrzanie
